The Greek Community of Melbourne, the Greek-Australian Cultural League, and the Hellenic Writers’ Association of Australia, have organised the very first Greek Book Fair, which will be held on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November 2022, 11 am – 6 pm, at the Greek Centre (Mezzanine level, 168 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, 3000).

The purpose is to allow Greek-Australian writers, bookshops, and publishers to present and sell their books to the Hellenic community and the broader public. The Greek Book Fair 2022 program includes casual talks, panel discussions, social book launches, book signings, and more. Writer’s talks and book launches will occur every hour throughout the two days. Live online broadcasting is scheduled through Facebook and YouTube.

‘Olympia: The Birth of the Games’ will have a dedicated stand throughout the weekend for the signing and purchasing of both the hardcover and softcover editions, with the author’s chat scheduled for 5 pm. I will be co-presenting with fellow author, journalist and film-maker Billy Cotsis, which will give us an opportunity to give a Melbourne rendition of our previously Sydney-based talk entitled ‘Two Authors Collide’.

Official invitation - 'Two Authors Collide'. 40th Greek Festival of Sydney. May. 2022
