The latest presentation for ‘Olympia: The Birth of the Games’ – at the 40th year for the Greek Festival for Sydney – proved a wonderfully entertaining night. Up on stage with my good friend Vasileios ‘Billy’ Cotsis (journalist, author and film-maker) who presented his latest novel, ‘The Aegean Sven take back the “Elgin” Marbles’, we both chatted in depth to a very engaged and substantial audience who were hungry for insights and inter-activity.

The Acknowledgement to Country was provided by the 30-year naval veteran (and Indigenous Australian), ‘Uncle’ Dave Williams; our hostess with the mostest was MC Belinda Fiori: and our bouzouki player, Tassos, really set the mood.

Our heartfelt thanks to Mytilenean House in Canterbury, Sydney (and, in particular, Peter) for hosting this feature event, and for the very warm welcome that I and my novel received.
